What We Don't Do

Spay/neuter of sick animals – animals with pre-existing conditions, breeds with increased surgical risk, geriatric animals, or surgeries other than spay/neuter.

Full comprehensive wellness exams (all organs checked for full health status):

  • Sick pet exams,
  • Exam for monitoring of chronic conditions,
  • Vaccines without a veterinarian exam.

Vaccines in other species

  • Some vaccines may not available due to shortages.

Comprehensive or advanced blood test screening

  • Pre-anesthetic blood screening – we do not offer blood screening prior to surgery. Screening is recommended in pets over 5 years of age but can be beneficial at any age. If you would like your pet to have screening prior to surgery, please visit a full-service veterinary clinic for this service.

We do not prescribe heartworm, flea, tick medication without a current exam by a SNAP veterinarian.

  • We do not prescribe heartworm prevention in dogs without a current (less than a month old) negative heartworm test. Results must be provided, or the test must be redone.
  • If you have a negative test older than a month from another vet, or do not have results for your current test, we will not prescribe medication w/o a new test – in this case please visit the vet who performed the test for your pet’s prevention.

WE DO NOT WRITE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR YOU TO USE AT YOUR PREFERED PHARMACY. If you would like a written prescription for your pet’s medication, please visit a full-service veterinary clinic instead.
