Pugster’s journey to a better life began at the end of Mrs. Dalton’s driveway, where he was found trembling, frightened, and severely malnourished. Despite his fear, his trust was quickly won with a few tasty treats. In that moment, Pugster seemed to realize he had finally found a safe haven.
Known for her compassionate efforts to rescue animals from the streets, Mrs. Dalton took Pugster into her care, nursing him back to health. Her love and dedication transformed him from a fragile, scared pup into a joyful and lively companion. Once he was strong enough, Pugster was neutered at SNAP, making this crucial step in ending the cycle of animal suffering and overpopulation. To further ensure his wellbeing, Pugster was also given a Heartworm test and the vaccine to protect him from Bordetella (“kennel cough”).
Today, Pugster is thriving with Mrs. Dalton and her husband, who are devoted to providing the best care for the animals they take in until they find loving homes for them. Some—like Pugster—happily find a forever home with the Daltons, where they will never again know the fear of hunger or abandonment—only a future filled with security, love, and joy.
