Poor Ducky had a rough start in life! The little Chihuahua mix puppy seems to have been born in a homeless encampment. A lady was driving near the area and had come to a stop when, as she describes it, a man “threw the puppy” at her car. Of course, this kind young lady could not just leave him there, so she scooped him up and rushed him to a veterinary clinic. Ducky was found to be in good health except for being mostly blind. Even though he only sees shadows, his acute hearing helps him get around well.
Ducky was brought to SNAP earlier in May for his vaccinations and neuter surgery. Our friends at Texas Chihuahua Rescue are caring for the puppy until he finds his forever home. They describe him as being very smart with a sweet disposition. He loves people, other dogs, cats, well-mannered children, and LOTS of attention. We’re glad Ducky is doing well and will live his life loved and litter free.
