BB’s journey began at a playground, where a tiny 5-week-old chocolate Lab was joyfully playing with children, but the joy seemed to be fading with the setting sun as BB was left behind. But one kind-hearted mom couldn’t just walk away. When no one claimed the puppy, the lady picked her up and took her home.
The next day, the lady took the puppy to SNAP’s Houston clinic to get her puppy vaccinations. That’s where Kristen, our Development Assistant, saw her. She couldn’t believe her eyes; the pup looked just like her childhood dog, Becca. Touched by the resemblance, Kristen called her mom and asked if her parents might be willing to foster the puppy, now named BB—short for Bonus Becca. Thanks to SNAP, BB is now spayed, fully vaccinated, and thriving in her foster home—just a pawstep away from finding her forever family.
Sadly, not every stray is this fortunate, and BB’s story could have ended very differently. Your support could make the difference in preventing the next “BB” from having to experience homelessness. Please consider donating today.
